Subway/Elevated Rail System
To utilize the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) subway/elevated rail system, you must first purchase your fare at an on-site vending machine or use a Ventra card or mobile app. For additional information on fares, visit the "Where to buy fares" page of the CTA's website at http://www.transitchicago.com/travel_information/fares/wheretobuy.aspx.

From O'Hare International Airport
Blue Line: O’Hare to 720 S Michigan Ave.
Estimated Travel Time: 50 – 60 minutes (a train leaves from O’Hare Blue Line Station roughly every 5-10 minutes). Please note: The Hilton Chicago is approximately 8.5 blocks from where you exit the train.
Fare: $5 from O'Hare to Chicago; $2.50 from Chicago to O'Hare
From inside airport, follow signs for Blue Line CTA Train towards the Loop.
Pay at a vending machine for your fare into the Loop. (A single ride will be $5. Cash, coins, and cards are accepted at the machines). Alternatively, if you use a Ventra card/app, get that out and ready to use.
Board any train, and ride the train into the Loop, and exit at LaSalle. (approximately 20 stops; if train runs express, may be fewer stops).
Exit the LaSalle Street station, and walk east 6 blocks toward Michigan Ave.
Walk 2.5 blocks south on Michigan Ave. (0.6mi, this is about a 12 minute walk).
The Hilton Chicago will be just south of Balbo Ave, on the southwest side of the street.
From Midway Airport
Orange Line: Midway to 720 S Michigan Ave.
Estimated Travel Time: 30 minutes (a train leaves from Midway Orange Line Station roughly every 8-10 minutes). Please note: The Hilton Chicago is approximately 5 blocks from where you exit the train.
Fare: $2.50
From inside airport, follow sign(s) for Orange Line CTA Train towards the Loop.
Pay at a vending machine for your fare into the Loop. (A single ride will be $2.25. Cash, coins, and cards are accepted at the machines). Alternatively, if you use a Ventra card/app, get that out and ready to use.
Board any train, and ride the train into the Loop, and exit at Roosevelt. (7 stops; if the train runs express may be fewer stops.)
Exit the Roosevelt Road station, and walk east two blocks to Michigan Ave. Then walk north 3 blocks, passing 8th Street but not passing Balbo. (0.5mi, this is about a 10min walk).
The Hilton Chicago will be on the west side of the street, just north of 8th Street.
